Bracey, Adam Curriculum Vitae
Originally from the Thames estuary area of Essex, Adam Bracey graduated from the University of Brighton in 1998. After several exhibitions, he has taught Art and Photography in colleges and schools around Sussex. Evolving from a more realist ethos, his paintings have become more concerned with the properties of paint than a faithful representation of a subject.
Recent paintings are about how the land masses are stitched together by large bridging structures, spanning tidal waters, or how nature is harnessed by structures. The landscape is ever changing, altered by erosion and sediment, light and seasonal shift, and the paintings aim to reflect these natural processes.
