• No complaints at all, swift service, offered tea/coffee on both occasions, generally a pleasant experience. Acknowledged when entering shop, not pestered and left to have a look, but available if we had any questions. We are very pleased with our purchases, as you are probably aware we're not "art" people, we just know what we like, we don't need to know the details, such as who the artist is or what its meant to symbolise, etc, we just like nice original things. • Hi Jennifer. Thank you for your lovely email. We love the piece. As you say, it has many layers, both physical and metaphorical, which is endlessly fascinating. While it's a puzzle (which I don't think I'll ever solve!), it also has a powerful emotional charge, so that I can lose myself in it without thinking at all. It really suits my temperament as well as the room. I find my self looking at it from different angles and distances, at different times of day, seeing things I haven't seen before, and wondering about it all… It feels as though it's an old friend and yet not quite knowable. Perfect. I'm also extremely grateful that the artist was able to respond so thoughtfully to the brief, and yet it could only be his work - original, mysterious, bold and confident yet sensitive.
