Statement

I paint all the time, I have to, I want to. I am inspired by passion and commitment as long as it’s positive.

I studied at Glasgow School of Art and i still live and work in Glasgow as it’s a great place to be an artist.

I have been lucky enough to travel and see amazing sights, meet interesting people, stand in front of paintings by Hopper, Wyeth, Vermeer, Velasquez, Close and many others in awe.

I had a short correspondence with Sir Dirk Bogarde when I was a kid and looking for some guidance. He said, it takes 7 years to become a doctor and 72 years to become a reasonable actor.

I think I know what he meant now, but he certainly was more than that!
