Cath Kerr

Having completed a welding course in 2008, Cath spends much of her free time creating quirky and contemporary scrap metal sculptures from her workshop in North Ayrshire.

The metal used is often salvaged from skips and garages, and alongside that she has a host of friends who unrelentingly drop off bags of ‘treasure’ on her doorstep. The wonderful shapes afforded by old tools and found metal provide the inspiration for a sculpture yet to be created. Each artwork is totally unique due to the very nature of its recycled components.
