Alison was born and brought up in Ardrishaig, Mid-Argyll, where she started painting while still at school.
She moved to Glasgow in the early eighties to attend university and graduated with a BSc Civil Engineer from Glasgow University. After working for several years in engineering, she decided to return to more creative pursuits and took up painting again. Alison now lives and works in Ayrshire with her husband, two young children and various livestock!
I have work in private collections as far afield as Canada, Jersey and France and she exhibits in the Mid-Argyll Art Society annual exhibition.
“Growing up in Mid-Argyll made it very difficult not to paint! The drama and light are ever changing, and I love the wonderful skies. I work in oils and pastels and return to the West coast regularly to recharge my soul. My paintings are honest and as I see them. I hope you enjoy them.”
