Collection: Pauline Patrick

A Glasgow School of Art graduate with postgraduate and doctoral studies, Pauline is a contemporary still life and landscape painter whose work balances realism and abstraction.

Influenced by her training under John Cunningham and the Scottish Colourist tradition, she creates carefully composed, layered pieces that evoke harmony and tranquillity. Her paintings have been exhibited across the UK and internationally, including New York, Hong Kong, and Singapore, and are held in private collections worldwide.

In 2009 she embarked on a doctoral study based on art practice and art education, graduating in 2014. This study combined the research methodologies of writing prose and making art; an experience which led to the realization that it was time to return to her first love - painting. Pauline is now a full time painter. Several times a year she travels around Scotland to gather research material in the form of sketches, photographs and journals, returning laden to work from her studio in Milngavie.

This year Patrick will be a contestant on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2026.
