Collection: Alison Thomas

Alison is inspired by nature, architecture and anything to do with the sea.  Her work often features ships, fish and all things maritime.  Her paintings usually feature materials such as sand, linen and metal leaf to create and add texture to her work.  This is probably due to her textile background which is apparent in her artwork.

Alison studied at Duncan Of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee and she has been working as an artist ever since her graduation in 1996.  She works from her studio at Irvine Harbourside where she produces paintings and handmade felt and also runs regular art classes for children and adults.
