Collection: Lesley Banks

Lesley Banks, born in 1962, is a Scottish painter. She studied Drawing and Painting at the Glasgow School of Art from 1980 to 1984, and was later funded by an Elizabeth Greenshields Scholarship to travel and paint in Europe. In 1988, she began exhibiting her works at the Compass Gallery in Glasgow. Since then, Lesley has won various awards and prizes, including The 1991 Scottish Prize, Royal Overseas League London. In 1999, she was appointed as an "Artist in Residence" at Edinburgh Zoo and her "Urban Zoo" exhibition was funded by the Scottish Arts Council. Lesley has exhibited her artworks throughout the UK, Singapore, and the USA.
