Collection: Ursula Cleary

The work of Ursula Cleary combines painting, collage and found materials. Based in Glasgow, she explores themes of forgotten histories, drawing inspiration from the city’s post-industrial landscape. Her work, which frequently ties into a distinct landscape narrative, is made with heavily textured, layered surfaces, inviting viewers to reconsider the beauty in overlooked details.

Ursula trained at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art at Dundee University. Whilst working in her early career as a visual, and scenic artist in theatre, she has spent many years working as a respected Art Director and Designer in Film and Television before returning to her primary and visceral inspirations.
