Daniel Freytag
I’m a German-Scottish artist and designer, living and working in Oban on Scotland's Northwest coast. My art explores the land from above, both rural and urban, blending natural forms with human-made marks.
In ‘Made by Land’, an ongoing series, I focus on the marks humans leave on the land. Tracks, boundaries, and patterns shaped by work and movement. Often set in Scottish landscapes, but not always, these traces raise questions about their purpose, their history, and where they might lead.
