Elaine Cunningham
Elaine Cunningham graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, Dundee in 2002 with a B.A. (HONS) in Fine Art. Her work has been exhibited in private galleries throughout the UK.
"I like to look and respond to the ever- changing weather conditions and times of the day that cannot easily be defined. Some of my paintings are meditative and others more stimulating just like the moods of the sea. I feel my work is like painting a portrait, sharing the changing emotions and character of a person. It is only when you look and learn all the changing emotions and character of a person or place that you can make a painting that is interesting and meaningful. I have always imagined that in painting a place, I somehow become part of it, and it of me."
