Robert Hunter
My creations consist of simple but strong forms with textural surface details. I am passionate about self-sourcing local organic materials and using these materials to develop my own glaze. This technique means that my collections are limited and truly reflect where I am at that time in my life.
I have been fortunate to be able to travel and work with some amazing people who have helped me to develop my craft. I have had the privilege of working with Scott Barnim, who is based in Toronto, during the summer of 2015. The following year I travelled up north where I spent valuable time with Highland Stoneware. After my graduation, I had to pleasure of working with Maria De Haan as her intern for 3 months in the Tramuntana mountains of Mallorca. This is an experience that I will never forget as I was able to hugely develop as an artist and learn many new techniques from Maria.
