Samuel Clarke

Samuel Clarke is an Irish artist currently based between the UK and Europe. He has previously studied at the Florence Academy of Art and he is currently undertaking further training under Charles H. Cecil in Florence. His current work focuses on exploring landscape and architectural scenes in an expressive style derived from and inspired by the classical tradition. He is committed to the careful observation of nature. His work aims to capture the essence of subject through working directly from life.

Clarke's plein air painting has been covered by the Daily Telegraph, The Mirror and the New York Times. He recently exhibited at Dalkeith Palace, Scotland, at their Inception exhibition. He has just finished exhibiting his first solo show at Windsor Old Court Art Space.
