The result is a harmonious and intriguing mix of aesthetics. Working between fine art and craft, Mather’s practice produces beautiful artworks admired both for their creativity and technical skill. Working with ceramics, painting and textile, Mather has an innate ability to put her hand to many different materials. With a keen eye for composing the surface of a canvas, her subject matter varies, often paying homage to artists of the past; artists whose work has had an influence on her.
